Weisensel discusses family life, recreation, and childhood on a farm in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. He describes his service in the Army Air Corps during World War I; the Great Depression; his work history; and Ku Klux Klan activity in Barron, Wisconsin. He details his career selling insurance in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and also discusses his involvement in the American Legion and the Rotary Club and other fraternal and service organizations.

The Ku Klux Klan was formally incorporated under the laws of the state of Georgia on Dec. 4, 1915.
